Hi I'm Debs,

I've practiced Yoga for many years to bring balance to a very busy career.

In 2015 I went to my first yoga retreat in Spain with Sally Parkes Yoga and on my return home, signed up to yoga teacher training. I completed my 200 hour Laxmi Toga Teacher Training with Sally Parkes Yoga in London and later completed further Yin training. 

Hope to see all you Yogis on the mat soon!

I've spent the last six years living in Dubai, before returning home to Low Fell. 

I've practiced yoga for 10 years and completed my training in Rishikesh, India. 

I can't wait to teach you all that I have learnt from my time in India,

Wednesday - Meditation with Vicky at 19:45 

Friday - Beginners Slow Flow with Debs at 17:30

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. This class focuses on sun salutations, strength and balancing postures, breathing and mediation. There is also a beginners class of Vinyasa to help ease you into this yoga gently. 

Meditation

Practice meditation and learn how to improve attention and awareness. Achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state. 

Slow Flow

This is a slow moving gentle vinyasa yoga class. We focus on connecting breath, movement and the pose (asana). You will slowly and mindfully move through each pose, which can me refined and strengthened without feeling like you need to rush. This allows you to become familiar with your body and the benefits of using breath to connect ind and movement. You will work the entire body without feeling exhausted. 

Restorative

This yoga encourages you to completely let go and surrender into your poses, allowing you to release any tension and find pure relaxation, physically, mentally and emotionally. You will allow yourself 3-5 minutes to surrender into each pose and whilst some gentle stretching will be experienced, the whole point of restorative is to soften the entire body - we don’t “hold” on to anything. This is a very quiet, floor based practice and uses lots of props to allow you to properly relax, melt away any stresses and strains, helping to calm the nervous system. A self-care essential!

Suitable for ALL levels.

Yin

This class is mainly floor based and explores the hips, pelvis, thighs and lower spine areas. As the poses are held for a few minutes each, this encourages a deep stretch which can feel a little uncomfortable at first. You may want to fidget but by allowing your mind to surrender into the pose you will benefit from a deep stretch. Yin will help flexibility as it targets the (usually stiff) deep connective tissues between the muscles.

Suitable for ALL levels.
